Step-through design: The Vertival UBK 885 bike features a step-through design (14 inches / 36 cm wide) with a very low step-up height (4 inches / 10 cm).
Ergonomics: The driver's cab is designed with solid ergonomics. The seat pads are angled for optimal comfort, maximum lumbar support, and minimal interference with the movement of the user's legs. The console is mounted at an optimum viewing angle, with the machine's controls within easy reach.
Handlebars: Console handlebars help with entry and exit, while riding handlebars provide optional hand and arm positioning and heart rate monitoring.
Seat: The Air Flex seat back features a "floating" suspension system that allows the seat back to move with the user for unsurpassed comfort. The curved ergonomic design and ample ventilation further enhance user comfort. And the polypropylene material is virtually indestructible.
Biomechanics: To achieve proper pedaling biomechanics, Precor designed the recumbent bike to maintain similar biomechanics to that used on its upright bike. That means setting the seat rail angle with a crank offset to help with efficient pedaling and reduced shear force on the knee. The seat rail angle is 15 degrees with a slight offset from the crank axis. This places the knee directly over the ball of the foot (or pedal spindle) when the pedals are at the 2 and 8 o'clock position.
Bearings: The bottom bracket assembly uses a hardened steel spindle with deep groove sealed precision ball bearings designed for smooth operation and exceptional life.
Seat Adjustment: The simple and convenient seat adjustment allows the user to easily change the seat to the desired height, with one hand on or off the bike.
Pedals: For twice the comfort, the double-sided pedals allow the rider to use the pedals with or without the integrated pedal strap. The extra-wide pedal comfortably fits feet of all sizes, allowing for proper pedaling shape with the foot directly over the user's knee.
Frame: Two-step powder coating process applies a rust resistant base coat and a cosmetic top coat to the steel frame.
Covers: The covers are attached with a minimum of hardware and can be removed without removing the pedals or cranks. Transport wheels: Integrated

3-Piece Crank – The 3-piece crank is positively tightened, reducing the need for periodic adjustment. The 170mm crank arm accepts any standard road or mountain bike pedal.
